I am an assistant professor in Epidemiology and Health Economics at the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute both at the Faculties of Medicine and Science of the University of Zürich.

I work at the intersections of medicine, economics, health, and regulation.

  • 18 June 2026 will be presenting our new work on instrumental variables for multi-treatment trials and moderating some discussion tables at the AES in Sevilla.
  • 20 May 2026 will be giving an Einstein Circle Lecture at the BIH Charité in Berlin on censoring in oncological trials.
  • 11 April 2026 the final results from the LiverScreen H2020 have been published in The Lancet.
  • 23 March 2026 Machine learning models for treatment effect heterogeneity do not seem to validate (at least) in medical RCTs, published in the AJE.
  • 7 January 2026 Made some declarations regarding the economic and health consequences of the alternative pembrolizumab dosages approved by the EMA in El País.
  • 7 October 2025 We have written a perspective on the new ESMO-MCBS v2.0 scoring system on JHEP Reports.
  • 20 September 2025 We have replied to some correspondence about the COLONPREV RCT, and their implicit assumptions.
